Thomas to lead WEC’s Fairfield County Metro lead for Connecticut; Dinnie named co-lead of Washington, D.C. chapter
NEW YORK, Oct. 20, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — MetTel today announced that two of its senior executives for its commercial and government businesses, Lori Thomas and Erika Dinnie, have been appointed to leadership roles with the Women Executives Circle (WEC), a national peer-powered community dedicated to strengthening leadership, visibility and voice for senior executive women across the United States through trusted relationships and authentic peer-to-peer connections.
Thomas, SVP – Strategic Engagement & Transformation (SET) will serve as Fairfield County Metro lead for Connecticut WEC Chapter Lead, while Dinnie, VP of Federal Strategy & Planning, will serve as Co-Lead for WEC’s Washington, D.C. chapter. In their respective roles, Thomas and Dinnie will help build local communities where women senior executives can connect, exchange insights, mentor one another and support the advancement of women in leadership.
Founded by Sirisha (Siri) Swahari, WEC was created around the belief that when women lead in community, everyone rises. WEC operates through a national network of state and metropolitan circles, combining the depth of local relationships with the reach of a nationwide leadership community. Its State and Metro Leaders and Advisors are senior executive women who volunteer their time to create community, share experience and help other women advance in their leadership journeys.
As Fairfield County Metro Lead for Connecticut, Thomas will help bring together senior executive women across the region, creating opportunities for members to build relationships, exchange perspectives and learn from one another. The Circle is also open Westchester County, New York, to welcome commuters between NY and CT.
Thomas is a long-time technology and communications executive who has played a key role in MetTel’s innovation and growth initiatives. She has been instrumental in advancing the company’s focus on emerging technologies and regularly brings together business and technology leaders to explore developments in areas including artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, space communications and quantum computing.
“Leadership is not just about what we accomplish individually; it is also about what we do to create opportunities for others,” said Thomas. “WEC provides a unique environment where women executives can be candid, share experiences and learn from one another without the usual barriers that can come with professional relationships. I’m excited to help build that kind of community across the Westchester and Fairfield metropolitan areas.”
Dinnie will co-lead WEC’s Washington, D.C. chapter and is an active member of the Pennsylvania State chapter, helping connect senior executive women across two key business and government markets. In her role at MetTel, Dinnie brings experience in developing relationships across complex enterprise and public-sector environments and helping organizations navigate rapidly changing technology and communications landscapes.
“What drew me to the Women Executives Circle is its commitment to authentic connection and shared purpose,” said Dinnie. “Daily interactions can often feel transactional – WEC fosters genuine relationships, collective wisdom, and a powerful network of women committed to helping each other succeed.”
