Sale Follows Ferrovia’s Growth to Become the Leading Player in the Railroad Vegetation Management Industry

AUBURN, Ala., Aug. 24, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Auxo Investment Partners (www.auxopartners.com), Michigan’s leading lower middle market private investment firm, today announced a successful exit from its investment in Ferrovia through a sale to Secovia Capital. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Auxo Investment Partners

Acquired by Auxo in November 2021 as part of its Genesis Rail Services platform, Ferrovia flourished under Auxo’s ownership. Leveraging Auxo’s value creation/portfolio company operations team, coupled with a successful organic and acquisitive growth strategy, Ferrovia grew into the nation’s largest provider of railroad vegetation management services.

“We are proud of Ferrovia’s growth achieved during our ownership and this is an ideal outcome for everyone involved. Secovia Capital is acquiring a great business with a committed management team. Ferrovia gains a terrific new owner with whom they are excited to partner with – an important consideration for us – and Auxo delivers a strong return and liquidity for our investors at a time when many sponsors are struggling to do so,” said Auxo Managing Partner Jeff Helminski. “The sale of Ferrovia also provides a significant amount of capital for Genesis Rail Services that enables Rance and his team to continue investing in and growing the business.”

“The additional capital provided by the sale of our vegetation management division allows us to accelerate our investments in equipment to expand existing service lines, product development to offer new solutions for our customers such as our recently introduced Track Sweeper, and to continue our acquisition strategy,” said Rance Randle, who will continue to lead Genesis Rail Services as CEO.

Northborne Partners served as exclusive financial advisor to Genesis Rail Services and Ferrovia. Miller Johnson LLP and BDO USA, LLP also served as advisors. Mercantile Bank of Michigan and Graycliff Partners provided financing to Auxo throughout its ownership of Ferrovia.

A Long-Term, Collaborative Approach

  • North America-based
