Lot 45 on Lansing Island is coming to life—and DiPrima Custom Homes is giving us a front-row seat. In their latest construction update, the team walks us through the exciting progress as a simple concrete shell transforms into a stunning luxury residence.

After the initial concrete block phase, major progress began with the arrival of roof trusses and interior framing lumber. This home features two significant load-bearing walls—one defining the kitchen and another separating the bedrooms. Once framed, the team “flew” the trusses into place using a mobile crane, ensuring the cathedral ceiling lined up perfectly.

Roof sheathing followed, using 5/8” CDX plywood, reinforced with subfascia and blocking for added strength. A premium underlayment and drip edge were also installed, prepping the roof to withstand Florida’s weather. Inside, foam board insulation and chalk-line layouts revealed the home’s interior blueprint. DiPrima’s attention to detail shines through: pocket door framing, cabinet-ready blocking, and tray ceiling prep are just a few examples.

Outside, lanai porch ceilings were faced in plywood, columns wrapped in Tyvek, and impact-rated windows installed for both beauty and hurricane protection. With framing and windows now complete, the build heads into the MEP rough-in phase—covering electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
